Doula Training in Georgia

Georgia does not require you to receive a certification or have a university degree in order to become a doula or to practice in the state. Any degree or certification is voluntary depending on your financial situation and career goals.

  • 3 day Birth doula training workshop (requirement for DONA certification)
  • Read books from a DONA approved reading list (requirement for DONA certification)
  • Finish a course evaluation

Course and Workshop Topics

As part of your doula training, these courses will cover the following:
  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Familiarize yourself with commonly used terms used during labor and birth
  • Learn how to assist clients during difficult labors
  • Define normal changes during a pregnancy
  • Demonstrate different labor positions
  • Discuss the ethics and requirements for certification

Costs and Fees

Birth doula workshop - $450
An early bird discount of $25 is  available if the fees are paid at least 21 days before the class.  The workshop will cost $425 with the discount.
A non-refundable $100 deposit is required during your registration
